Boycotting capitalism with my camera.

In support of the Economic Blackout on February 28, 2025, I took my medium-format camera (GFX 100sii) to take a break from screens and news. I wandered through the Loop in Chicago for a few hours, letting my camera explore for me. The only money I spent was a three-dollar tip for a street performer whose energy lit up the street and was worth far more. It felt good to resist in my own way, choosing to see the city through my lens rather than through a transaction.

I can only hope that these boycotts will have an impact and that people will finally feel heard. I may be just one person, but I’m proud I did my part.

Sometimes, the best therapy is getting immersed in light & shadows and neglecting the chaos.
